Hello!
Welcome to Lisa Holmes Photography and thank you for taking the time to look at my website.
I have been a photographer for over 19 years and I am truly passionate about photography and its ability to express feelings and emotions. My work sees me photographing a wide range of photography from family sessions and children to high end fashion and beauty and it is this diversity that keeps me excited about every shoot I do.
I adore shooting fashion and beauty campaigns or creating branding imagery for business. Working with my clients brief to create sleek flawless images that communicate their products and messages perfectly. But I am equally passionate about photographing families and those people you love. For the very reason that as a working mum of two I understand that we all lead crazy busy lives and that it is easy to not realise the importance of having beautifully crafted images of those we love until it is too late. That is why I am passionate about being able to create those beautiful emotive images for people and their families; and give them a gift which will only continue to grow in importance as time goes on.
Whether you are wanting an editorial style fashion image, a collection of stunning confidence building boudoir images that celebrate you or a fun filled family session, I understand that everyone is unique with their own set of requirements for their session. This is why I tailor each of my photoshoots around my clients, discussing exactly what you want through a pre-session consultation either over the phone or in person at my studio. This way I can ensure that I create beautiful bespoke images that are exactly what you are looking for.
So if you don’t see exactly what you want here, just get in touch and I’m sure we can create something that is exactly right for you.
I can’t wait to hear from you.
Since 2015 I have owned my own Photography Studio on the celebrated cobbled Haworth Main Street, famous for the Bronte Sisters, nestled in the beautiful Yorkshire Moors. Unlike other studios my isn’t white and airy, instead it emits a cosy and relaxed feel, furnished with flowers, candles, a real fire (sometimes even lit in summer because this is Yorkshire you know) and decked out with antique furniture creating an essence more akin to a boutique hotel rather than a photography studio. During your shoot refreshments and nibbles will be on hand to sustain you and unlimited wifi to keep any little (or big) ones entertained in-between photographing.
In 2019 I opened my own darkroom and teaching facility at Keighley Creative Space, a venture created with the help of East Street Arts that aims to access previously unused buildings and allow them to be converted into individual artist studios.
My photographic roots started with analogue photography and consequently I still regularly photograph with film. I believe the quality and purity of this medium is unique to it and the joy of photographing and printing with analogue cannot be surpassed. That is why I was so excited to bring this dream of mine to life and create somewhere that not only can I practice analogue photography, but I can also provide a facility for others who share my passion, and where I can teach it to others who are yet to discover it.
In this space I am super excited to be running a full range of photography workshops including kids, adults and community group sessions. The darkroom will also be open at set times for the general public to access (after an initial induction).
